Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to perform physical cleaning tasks
  • availability to work rotating shifts including holidays and every other weekend
  • ability to adhere to hospital policies and procedures
  • completion of mandatory trainings
  • commitment to maintaining infection control standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • knowledge of infection control practices
  • ability to follow detailed cleaning schedules and procedures
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to attend mandatory training sessions
  • physical capability to perform heavy cleaning tasks

Job Duties

  • Performs essential cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules utilizing trained methods
  • adheres to the strict principals, policies and procedures on infection control for all high to low risk areas as outlined in EVS and IC Policy in I-10.1 of Infection Control manual
  • performs heavy cleaning and sanitation functions in assigned areas following established schedules and Bi-Annual cleaning policy using prescribed methods
  • attends mandatory hospital fire safety, infection control and hazardous waste training and department scheduled meetings, in-services, training sessions
  • performs related duties as required
