Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks
  • Willingness to work weekends and rotating holidays
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to attend mandatory training sessions
  • Understanding of infection control principles
  • Ability to follow established cleaning schedules

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Knowledge of cleaning and disinfection methods
  • Ability to follow strict infection control policies
  • Experience in a healthcare or similar environment is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Performs essential cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules utilizing trained methods
  • Adheres to the strict principals, policies and procedures on infection control for all high to low risk areas as outlined in the EVS and IC Policy I-10.1 of Infection Control manual
  • Performs heavy cleaning and sanitation functions in assigned areas following established schedules and Bi-Annual cleaning policy using prescribed methods
  • Attends mandatory hospital fire safety, infection control and hazardous waste training and department scheduled meetings, in-services, training sessions
  • Performs related duties as required
