Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to work Monday through Friday with every weekend and rotating holidays
- Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks and heavy sanitation work
- Compliance with hospital infection control and safety policies
- Ability to attend mandatory training sessions
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Knowledge of infection control principles and procedures
- Ability to follow established cleaning schedules and protocols
- Experience with handling and distribution of textiles/linen is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform heavy cleaning tasks
- Effective communication skills to participate in trainings and team meetings
Job Duties
- Performs essential cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules utilizing trained methods
- Adheres to the strict principals, policies and procedures on infection control for all high to low risk areas as outlined EVS and IC Policy in I-10.1 of Infection Control manual
- Perform heavy cleaning and sanitation functions in assigned areas following established schedules and Bi-Annual cleaning policy using prescribed methods
- Attends mandatory hospital fire safety, infection control and hazardous waste training and department scheduled meetings/in-services/training sessions
- Performs related duties, as required
