Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to work Monday through Friday with every weekend and rotating holidays
  • Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks and heavy sanitation work
  • Compliance with hospital infection control and safety policies
  • Ability to attend mandatory training sessions
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Knowledge of infection control principles and procedures
  • Ability to follow established cleaning schedules and protocols
  • Experience with handling and distribution of textiles/linen is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform heavy cleaning tasks
  • Effective communication skills to participate in trainings and team meetings

Job Duties

  • Performs essential cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules utilizing trained methods
  • Adheres to the strict principals, policies and procedures on infection control for all high to low risk areas as outlined EVS and IC Policy in I-10.1 of Infection Control manual
  • Perform heavy cleaning and sanitation functions in assigned areas following established schedules and Bi-Annual cleaning policy using prescribed methods
  • Attends mandatory hospital fire safety, infection control and hazardous waste training and department scheduled meetings/in-services/training sessions
  • Performs related duties, as required
