Job Requirements

  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as pushing, standing, talking, walking frequently
  • Ability to grasp, pull frequently
  • Ability to crouch occasionally
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening including criminal background check, drug testing, and education verification
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment operation
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Proficiency in using cleaning supplies and maintaining equipment
  • Strong customer service attitude and effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and establish priorities
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as bending, lifting, and reaching for extended periods
  • Awareness of safety compliance and accountability for assigned tasks
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, detail-oriented work environment
  • Preferred: Two years of housekeeping or janitorial experience

Job Duties

  • Empty waste receptacles and replace waste liners
  • Sweep, mop, and buff floors
  • Vacuum and shampoo rugs
  • Strip and refinish floors as needed
  • Clean bathroom basins, fixtures, mirrors, stall doors, toilets, showers, vents, and stock bathroom supplies
  • Clean areas requiring special cleaning methods such as patient beds, exam tables, IV poles, wheelchairs, carts, and surgical lighting
  • Collect and send dirty linens and towels to laundry
  • Dispose of and transport solid waste
  • Clean vertical and horizontal surfaces including seating, table-tops, desks, sinks, doors, dispensers, water fountains, vents, bedside tables, light switches, floors, walls, and windows
  • Clean restrooms including faucets, sinks, toilets, tubs, showers, stall partitions, and receptacles
  • Serve as liaison between all customers, patients, nurses, researchers, and students
  • Participate in internal activities and training as required or suggested by the institution or department
  • Perform other duties as assigned
