Job Requirements

- Understanding of safety procedures and protocols
- Ability to work full time during day shift
- Willingness to attend required safety training
- Ability to use personal protective equipment properly

Job Duties
- Collects trash carts and delivers them to assigned area according to schedule
- Responds to requests for special trash pickups and relines trash containers as needed
- Transports trash carts from collection point to designated area
- Attends all required safety training programs and understands responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards
- Follows hospital exposure control/bloodborne and airborne pathogens protocols
- Promotes effective working relations and collaborates within and across departments to meet goals and objectives
- Monitors and reports any equipment issues or shortages and ensures supplies are stocked
- Assists in cleanup of emergency spills as requested or observed
- Uses personal protective equipment in all aspects of job performance
- Other duties as assigned
