Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- physical ability to push a vacuum for extended periods
- ability to lift 25 to 30 pounds
- ability to reach, stretch, bend, and walk frequently with ability to stand for long periods
- organizational skills to build an independent cleaning schedule
- ability to follow verbal and written directions in English
- customer service experience
- reliable transportation
- ability to work night shift (8:00 PM - 4:30 AM) Sunday through Thursday and/or flexible schedule
- US citizenship or permanent resident status to access facilities and networks
Job Qualifications
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent training and experience
- be physically able to push a vacuum cleaner for extended periods of time
- ability to lift up to 25 to 30 pounds
- be able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine with ability to stand for long periods
- be organized and able to build an independent cleaning schedule
- be able to follow verbal and written directions in English
- have customer service experience
- have reliable transportation
- ability to work night shift (8:00 PM - 4:30 AM) Sunday through Thursday and/or a flexible schedule
- hold US citizenship or permanent resident status as required to access APL's facilities and networks subject to applicable laws
Job Duties
- Perform general sweeping, scrubbing, mopping of hardwood, laminate, or tiled floors
- dust and polish furniture and room accessories as needed
- dispose of trash and recycle content from bins and containers across the lab
- sanitize sinks, basins, showers, and toilets in common area restrooms
- clean windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and counters as necessary
- keep all public spaces neat and tidy and report repairs and replacements during shifts
- maintain all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products and ensure safe and sanitary storage of products
- vacuum, clean carpets, and maintain carpet equipment
- adhere to health and safety policies and lab related practices
