Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- physical ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and lift up to 45 lbs independently
- ability to operate industrial cleaning machines
- knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols
- adherence to safety regulations
- good communication skills
- ability to provide courteous customer service
- drug-free status
- registration with the selective service system for males as applicable
- ability to submit required documents including transcripts or certifications if qualifying by education
- willingness to abide by equal employment opportunity policies
Job Qualifications
- knowledge of proper care and maintenance of carpets and furniture
- ability to handle and control heavy powered equipment
- knowledge of uses of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions and stain removal
- ability to read and understand directions on labels and instructions
- experience in maintaining cleanliness standards
- effective communication skills for customer service
- ability to work independently with general supervision
Job Duties
- makes beds, changes sheets, towels, and other linens
- thoroughly cleans guest rooms including dusting, waxing, polishing furniture, sweeping floors, vacuuming and shampooing rugs, emptying ashtrays and wastebaskets, and sanitizing lavatories
- washes walls, windows, drapes, and blinds using ladders
- turns mattresses and sanitizes fixtures and bedding with disinfectant
- services each room daily with soap, cups, coffee, etc
- operates industrial powered scrubbers and buffers for floor cleaning
- moves heavy furniture
- provides world class customer service with emphasis on courtesy
- adheres to safety regulations and reports hazards or incidents
- supports equal employment opportunity and prevention of harassment
- performs other related duties as assigned
