- able to learn and operate heavy battery-operated floor care equipment
- prior housekeeping experience preferred
- previous floor refinishing experience preferred

Job Duties
- Ensure and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas including bathrooms, showers, corridors, patient rooms, common areas, staff facilities, public areas, and department offices
- perform detailed cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, hard surface floor care, wall washing, restocking, linen distribution, and collection
- clean patient discharge beds, vacuum, move equipment, dispose of trash, medical waste, biohazard spills, and recycle appropriately
- prepare cleaning solutions, housekeeping supplies, and equipment to perform associated tasks
- dust and clean furniture, windowsills, light fixtures, vents, ledges, blinds, shades, radiators, doors, moldings, windows, lights, clocks, signs, cabinets, and other dusty or soiled areas
- clean bathrooms, fixtures, pipes, tile walls, metals, partitions and replenish soap and paper supplies as needed
- disinfect rooms, beds, patient furniture and equipment with germicidal solutions
- operate machinery such as compactors, bailers, and appliances as needed
- follow department regulations, safety standards, and cleaning procedures
- operate battery-operated floor care equipment, automatic scrubbing machine, burnisher, and perform floor stripping and refinishing when required
- adhere to heavy lifting and safety protocols
