Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in housekeeping or related field preferred
- ability to work varying shifts including weekends
- physical capability to perform manual cleaning tasks
- willingness to follow infection control protocols strictly
- effective communication skills
- reliable and punctual work ethic

- knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- ability to follow instructions and work independently
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- understanding of safety and infection control standards
- physical ability to perform cleaning duties involving bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
Job Duties
- Performs the day-to-day housekeeping functions
- performs specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments
- coordinates daily housekeeping services with nursing service when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and recreational areas
- perform assigned tasks in accordance with established housekeeping procedures
- ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive condition
- follows established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment
- ensures that established infection control practices are maintained during housekeeping
- coordinates routine and terminal isolation procedures with nursing
- cleans and polishes furnishings, fixtures, ledges, rooms, heating and cooling units in resident rooms and recreational areas daily
- cleans, washes, sanitizes, and polishes bathroom fixtures ensuring removal of water marks
- cleans windows and mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance and exit ways
