Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One or more years’ housekeeping experience in a commercial, clinic or healthcare environment
  • Valid state driver’s license, where required in a facility
  • CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required
  • First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements

  • Previous lead experience preferred
  • Valid state driver’s license where required in a facility
  • CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire)
  • First aid certification may be required based on state or facility requirements

Job Duties

  • Perform cleaning duties safely and in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations or law
  • Follow organization policy and procedures in order to maintain a clean and sanitary environment
  • Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies, using appropriate processes and germicides for cleaning equipment
  • Other housekeeping duties, such as move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, clean kitchens, cooking utensils, silverware, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, as needed
  • Launder soiled linens as directed
  • Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department/unit uses
  • Properly clean and store all equipment and supplies after each shift
  • Routinely practice infection control measures
  • Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility
  • May oversee the day-to-day operation of housekeeping for facility
  • May be responsible for stocking of supplies
  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned
