Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to supervise and train staff
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work Monday through Friday with varying hours
- Reliable transportation to Mercy Hospital location
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to housekeeping
- Ability to follow safety and cleanliness protocols

Job Duties
- Supervises, trains and inspects the performance of assigned housekeeping staff to ensure procedures meet unit standards
- Provides quality service to customers by giving attention to detail
- Ensures assigned staff have reported to work and clocked in properly
- Resolves internal and external guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction
- Documents call offs and arranges replacements for any shift
- Coordinates assigned staff breaks
- Prepares and distributes assignment sheets and communicates changes throughout the shift
- Assigns and tracks designated keys, radios and beepers ensuring their security
- Checks equipment for proper supplies and condition, instructing personnel to correct deficiencies
- Inspects areas to confirm cleaning standards have been met
- Conducts staff training as assigned
- Exhibits professionalism with customers and fellow employees
- Performs other duties as assigned
