Job Requirements

- ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely
- awareness of infection control standards
- good physical stamina for cleaning duties
- ability to work cooperatively with others
- adherence to facility policies and procedures

Job Duties
- Ensure all areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive manner
- ensure all staff has appropriate training, equipment and supplies to execute responsibilities
- follow appropriate techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and solutions
- maintain established infection control and universal precautions practices
- coordinate isolation cleaning procedures with nursing services
- make decisions reflecting knowledge and good judgment
- seek assistance when necessary
- adhere to dress code and attendance policy
- attend committee meetings if assigned
- take responsibility for professional growth and attend training and orientation
- follow work schedule and complete assigned tasks
- review and address staff concerns timely
- communicate concerns to Director of Facilities and Grounds
- maintain employee turnover and retention goals in conjunction with human resources and management
