Job Duties
- Ensure that all areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive manner
- ensure appropriate techniques are followed when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and solutions used for cleaning/laundry
- ensure infection control and universal precautions practices are maintained during housekeeping/laundry functions
- coordinate isolation cleaning procedures with nursing services
- make decisions that reflect knowledge and good judgment
- seek assistance when necessary
- adhere to dress code and attendance policy
- attend committee meetings if assigned
- take responsibility for professional growth and participate in scheduled training
- follow work schedules and complete assigned tasks according to facility standards
- review staff concerns timely and communicate with Director of Facilities and Grounds
- maintain established goals for employee turnover and retention in conjunction with HR and director
