Job Duties

  • Ensure that all areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive manner
  • ensure appropriate techniques are followed when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and solutions used for cleaning/laundry
  • ensure infection control and universal precautions practices are maintained during housekeeping/laundry functions
  • coordinate isolation cleaning procedures with nursing services
  • make decisions that reflect knowledge and good judgment
  • seek assistance when necessary
  • adhere to dress code and attendance policy
  • attend committee meetings if assigned
  • take responsibility for professional growth and participate in scheduled training
  • follow work schedules and complete assigned tasks according to facility standards
  • review staff concerns timely and communicate with Director of Facilities and Grounds
  • maintain established goals for employee turnover and retention in conjunction with HR and director
