Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience providing housekeeping and laundry services in a senior or healthcare environment preferred
- Desire to work with seniors
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Effective communication skills

- Ability to follow safety and infection control procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas as assigned while meeting or exceeding quality standards
- Perform cleaning duties according to schedule including sweeping, dusting, mopping floors, spot cleaning, vacuuming, and sanitizing fixtures
- Knock on resident and public restroom doors before entering and respect privacy
- Maintain equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition
- Transport supplies including clean and soiled linen to appropriate areas
- Collect trash and maintain trash receptacles in a sanitary manner
- Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens following approved laundry procedures
- Inspect linens for wear and tear and handle damaged linens per procedures
- Maintain commercial laundry in a clean and sanitary condition
- Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
- Practice positive resident relations by responding to requests and feedback
- Review and document pertinent information in Daily Log
- Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored securely and equipment hazards are managed according to safety regulations
- Adhere to safety procedures including Personal Protective Equipment, fire safety, and infection control techniques
- Participate as a team member working toward common goals
- Attend meetings and maintain compliance with required training
- Perform other duties as assigned
