Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one to two years of housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
  • knowledge of cleaning equipment, maintenance procedures, and safety standards
  • well organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
  • strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • ability to use basic computer or tablet software for documentation
  • valid driver's license and ability to meet National Church Residences' motor vehicle policy

Job Duties

  • Clean and maintain common areas, model apartments, and vacant units, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, polishing furniture, and cleaning fixtures, glass, and windows
  • follow established cleaning schedules and maintain cleanliness in bathrooms, replacing supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap
  • prepare vacant units for move-ins and perform spot cleaning as needed
  • maintain sufficient inventory of cleaning supplies and notify Property Manager when additional materials are needed
  • complete work orders and inspections accurately, maintaining documentation and following safety procedures including MSDS
  • establish and maintain effective communication and relationships with residents, coworkers, management, vendors, and service providers
  • assist vendors and service providers as needed and report significant problems, maintenance concerns, or resident complaints to supervisors
  • ensure all residents and staff are treated with respect and dignity, adhering to Resident Rights and corporate compliance policies
  • comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, drug-free workplace requirements, and safe work practices
  • perform additional duties as assigned to support smooth community operation
