Job Requirements

  • GED or high school diploma
  • Ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with patients and families
  • Willingness to work 2nd shift including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
  • Completion of training on cleaning chemicals and safety measures
  • Commitment to hospital values and teamwork
  • Reliable and punctual work attendance

Job Qualifications

  • GED or high school diploma
  • Prior experience in housekeeping or environmental services preferred
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols
  • Ability to follow hospital infection control standards
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively on a team
  • Familiarity with hospital or clinical settings is a plus

Job Duties

  • Provide cleaning services while in the presence of patients and their families
  • Use AIDET communication techniques to interact respectfully and compassionately
  • Make beds and empty trash
  • Wipe equipment and clean furniture
  • Polish floors and vacuum carpets
  • Clean restrooms thoroughly
  • Launder hospital linens
  • Conduct daily inspection and inventory of housekeeping equipment
  • Demonstrate proper usage, disposal, and safety measures for cleaning chemicals
