- any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill, and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job

Job Duties
- Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods
- assist in cleaning of emergency spills observed or upon request
- perform daily check of assigned equipment for cleanliness and proper repair
- observe and report the need for repairs to equipment, furnishings, buildings and fixtures
- remove waste and soiled linens from work area and place in specified containers or bags
- demonstrate proper handling of biohazardous wastes
- monitor levels of supplies and equipment and notify supervisor of need for additional supplies
- perform personal inspection of all tasks and areas assigned
- follow policies, procedures, and safety standards
- complete required education assignments annually
- work toward achieving goals and objectives, and participate in quality improvement initiatives as requested
- perform other duties as assigned
