Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping preferred
  • Ability to work full time evening shift
  • Ability to work every other weekend
  • Compliance with vaccine requirements including MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza
  • Ability to pass a drug-free workplace screening
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting and standing
  • Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and protocols

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to interact comfortably and compassionately with patients, visitors, and hospital staff
  • Experience in hospital or healthcare cleaning preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness
  • Good communication skills

Job Duties

  • Clean patient rooms daily
  • Sanitize all vertical and horizontal surfaces
  • Spot wash walls and windows
  • Remove trash and linen where required
  • Completely clean and sanitize restrooms
  • Dust mop and damp mop floors
  • Clean ancillary areas including nurses stations, med rooms, pantries, utility rooms, storages, waiting rooms, locker rooms, break rooms, offices
  • Clean specialty areas such as OR Suites, Pre-Op, Post Op, Emergency Department, ICU, Labor Delivery, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Oncology, Radiology, Labs, Physical and Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Geriatrics, Kitchen areas
  • Vacuum and dust mop all surfaces
  • Stock supplies
  • Use appropriate chemicals and follow cleaning guidelines
  • Participate in safety initiatives and risk management
  • Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned
