Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to interact comfortably and warmly with patients, families, and visitors
- Experience in cleaning and sanitizing environments preferred
- Ability to work evening shifts including every other weekend
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals safely
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and moving linen and trash
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe hospital environment

Job Duties
- Interact with patients, families, and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Clean patient rooms daily, including sanitizing all surfaces, spot washing walls and windows, trash removal, and restroom sanitation
- Clean ancillary areas such as nurses stations, medication rooms, pantries, utility rooms, storage rooms, waiting rooms, locker rooms, break rooms, and offices
- Clean specialty areas including operating rooms, pre-op and post-op areas, emergency department, intensive and critical care units, labor delivery units, pediatric units, mental health units, oncology, radiology, labs, physical therapy and occupational therapy, pharmacy, geriatrics, kitchen areas
- Perform basic cleaning tasks like vacuuming, dust mopping, damp mopping, low and high dusting, stocking supplies, removing trash and soiled linen, delivering clean linen
- Use appropriate chemicals and follow guidelines when performing tasks
- Participate in safety initiatives and complete safety related competencies
