Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • adaptable experience with travel industry reservation systems and hotel property management systems
  • ability to perform physical duties including lifting up to 50+ lbs
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • ability to work well under deadline pressure
  • maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • willingness to adhere to OSHA safety regulations and use personal protective equipment
  • ability to maintain guest confidentiality and privacy

Job Duties

  • Maintain assigned public areas and other offices as required while meeting hotel's standards of cleanliness
  • report any maintenance deficiencies
  • collect, distribute, restock and receive linen and terry items
  • remove soiled linen
  • dispose of trash from carts and other assigned areas
  • handle guest requests or complaints
  • maintain guest confidence, privacy, and security of guests, guest rooms and their belongings
  • deep clean all assigned rooms and bathrooms including carpet cleaning, carpet extraction, shampooing, tile stripping, tile scrubbing
  • replace all amenities and linens according to hotel standards
  • keep carts and linen closets clean and orderly
  • report irregularities or suspicious circumstances on the guest floors
  • notify manager of discrepancies such as vacant rooms
  • turn in lost and found items as per department standard
  • use equipment and supplies in an appropriate and professional manner
  • replace light bulbs according to hotel standards
  • complete special cleaning projects such as special cleaning tasks
  • greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner
  • satisfy guest requests for information and service
  • report items of great value left unsecured in hallways and guest rooms
  • clean guest room windows and balcony to hotel standards
  • assist with moving furniture and heavy equipment as necessary
  • perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
