Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous healthcare or hospital cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including bending, lifting, and prolonged standing
  • Availability for full-time evening shifts including every other weekend
  • Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and infection control protocols
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a healthcare or similar environment preferred
  • Ability to interact comfortably and professionally with patients, visitors, and hospital staff
  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing techniques
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures
  • Good physical stamina to perform manual cleaning duties
  • Willingness to work evening shifts and every other weekend

Job Duties

  • Interact with patients, families, and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor
  • Clean patient rooms daily including sanitizing all surfaces, spot washing walls and windows, removing trash and linen, and cleaning restrooms
  • Clean ancillary hospital areas such as nurses' stations, med rooms, pantries, utility rooms, storage rooms, waiting rooms, locker rooms, break rooms, and offices
  • Clean specialty hospital areas including OR Suites, Pre-Op and Post-Op areas, Emergency Department, Intensive and Critical Care Units, Labor Delivery Units, Pediatric Units, Mental Health Units, Oncology, Radiology, Labs, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Geriatrics, and Kitchen areas
  • Perform tasks such as vacuuming, dust mopping, damp mopping, low and high dusting, stocking supplies, removing trash and soiled linen, and delivering clean linen where required
  • Use appropriate chemicals and follow guidelines for cleaning tasks
  • Participate in safety initiatives and complete all position and unit safety-related competencies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
