Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous healthcare or hospital cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including bending, lifting, and prolonged standing
- Availability for full-time evening shifts including every other weekend
- Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and infection control protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a healthcare or similar environment preferred
- Ability to interact comfortably and professionally with patients, visitors, and hospital staff
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing techniques
- Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures
- Good physical stamina to perform manual cleaning duties
- Willingness to work evening shifts and every other weekend
Job Duties
- Interact with patients, families, and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Clean patient rooms daily including sanitizing all surfaces, spot washing walls and windows, removing trash and linen, and cleaning restrooms
- Clean ancillary hospital areas such as nurses' stations, med rooms, pantries, utility rooms, storage rooms, waiting rooms, locker rooms, break rooms, and offices
- Clean specialty hospital areas including OR Suites, Pre-Op and Post-Op areas, Emergency Department, Intensive and Critical Care Units, Labor Delivery Units, Pediatric Units, Mental Health Units, Oncology, Radiology, Labs, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Geriatrics, and Kitchen areas
- Perform tasks such as vacuuming, dust mopping, damp mopping, low and high dusting, stocking supplies, removing trash and soiled linen, and delivering clean linen where required
- Use appropriate chemicals and follow guidelines for cleaning tasks
- Participate in safety initiatives and complete all position and unit safety-related competencies
- Perform other duties as assigned
