Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to interact comfortably and warmly with patients, families, and visitors
- Ability to perform basic cleaning tasks according to hospital standards
- Know and follow proper use of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols
- Ability to work rotating shifts including every weekend
- Commitment to completing safety and training requirements
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and bending as required
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
Job Duties
- Interact warmly with patients, families, and visitors
- Clean patient rooms daily including sanitizing surfaces and restrooms
- Clean ancillary areas such as nurses’ stations, med rooms, pantries, and waiting rooms
- Clean specialty areas including OR Suites, Emergency Department, ICU, and Pediatric Units
- Perform cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dust mopping, damp mopping, and trash removal
- Use appropriate chemicals and follow safety guidelines
- Participate in safety initiatives and complete required competencies
