Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work full time from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Willingness to work every other weekend
- Ability to use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively
- Must be able to perform physical cleaning tasks including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Must comply with vaccine requirements (MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza) as per workplace policies
- Willingness to participate in safety training and follow risk mitigation measures
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Experience in cleaning or housekeeping preferred but not required
- Ability to interact comfortably and courteously with patients, families, and staff
- Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitizing techniques
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals appropriately
- Good physical condition to perform cleaning duties
- Must be able to work a full-time day shift including every other weekend
Job Duties
- Interact with patients, families, and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Clean patient rooms daily including sanitizing surfaces, spot washing, trash removal, and restroom sanitization
- Clean ancillary areas such as nurses' stations, utility rooms, waiting rooms, and offices
- Clean specialty hospital areas including OR Suites, Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, Pediatric Units, and more
- Perform basic cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, stocking supplies, and handling linen
- Use appropriate chemicals and follow safety guidelines for cleaning tasks
- Participate in safety initiatives and complete required safety competencies
