Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or environmental services preferred
- Ability to work a night shift from 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Available to work every weekend
- Ability to comply with Corewell Health vaccination requirements
- Ability to follow safety and chemical handling procedures
- Ability to work part-time with approximately 20 hours per week
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to interact comfortably with patients and visitors
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing protocols
- Ability to follow safety and chemical usage guidelines
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work night shifts and weekends
- Ability to complete assigned cleaning tasks efficiently
Job Duties
- Interact warmly with patients, families, and visitors
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms daily
- Clean ancillary areas including nurses' stations and med rooms
- Clean specialty hospital areas including OR Suites, Emergency Department, and Intensive Care Units
- Perform cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, floor mopping, and trash removal
- Use appropriate cleaning chemicals according to guidelines
- Participate in safety initiatives and complete safety-related competencies
