Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to work full time including variable weekends
- willingness to follow vaccination and safety protocols
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- compliance with hospital policies regarding professionalism and interaction
- ability to work collaboratively within a team
- commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- ability to interact comfortably and professionally with patients, families, and visitors
- prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred but not required
- basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures
- capable of following detailed instructions and safety protocols
- ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- strong attention to detail and reliability
Job Duties
- Interact with patients, families, and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor
- clean patient rooms daily including sanitizing surfaces, walls, windows, and restrooms
- clean ancillary areas such as nurses' stations, med rooms, pantries, utility rooms, storage rooms, waiting rooms, locker rooms, break rooms, and offices
- perform cleaning in specialty areas like OR suites, Pre-Op, Post-Op, Emergency Department, ICUs, Labor Delivery, Pediatric, Mental Health, Oncology, Radiology, Labs, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, Geriatrics, and kitchens
- execute cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dust mopping, damp mopping, dusting, stocking supplies, removing trash and soiled linen, and delivering clean linen
- use appropriate chemicals and follow safety guidelines when performing cleaning tasks
- participate actively in safety initiatives and complete all required competencies and safety requirements on time
- perform other duties as assigned
