Job Requirements
- Must be able to interact comfortably with patients, families, and visitors
- Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks including mopping, dusting, and waste removal
- Availability to work part-time rotating shifts including every weekend
- Adherence to Corewell Health's drug-free workplace policy
- Compliance with vaccination requirements (MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza)
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and use cleaning chemicals appropriately
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
Job Duties
- Interact with patients, families, and visitors with a warm smile and friendly demeanor
- Clean patient rooms daily including sanitizing surfaces, windows, and restrooms
- Clean ancillary areas such as nurses' stations, med rooms, pantries, utility rooms, storage rooms, and offices
- Clean specialty areas including OR suites, emergency departments, intensive care units, labor delivery units, mental health units, oncology, radiology, labs, therapy areas, and kitchen
- Perform cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dust mopping, damp mopping, dusting, stocking supplies, removing trash and soiled linen
- Use appropriate chemicals and adhere to guidelines for cleaning tasks
- Participate in safety initiatives and complete position-related safety competencies
