Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- ability to interact comfortably and professionally with patients, families, and visitors
- experience in cleaning or housekeeping preferred
- ability to perform physical tasks involved in cleaning
- availability to work full time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., every other weekend
- adherence to safety protocols and use of cleaning chemicals
- must comply with Corewell Health vaccination requirements
- commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion policies
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
Job Duties
- Interact with patients, families, and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor
- clean patient rooms daily, including sanitizing surfaces and restrooms
- clean ancillary areas such as nurses stations, medication rooms, pantries, utility rooms, and offices
- clean specialty areas including OR suites, emergency department, ICUs, and more
- perform cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dust mopping, damp mopping, dusting, stocking supplies, removing trash and soiled linens, and delivering clean linens
- use appropriate chemicals and follow guidelines for cleaning
- actively participate in safety initiatives and complete safety competencies
