Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in cleaning or housekeeping preferred
  • Ability to work part time including evenings and some weekends
  • Ability to use cleaning chemicals safely
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning duties
  • Compliance with vaccine requirements including MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza
  • Willingness to comply with drug free workplace policy
  • Ability to follow safety procedures

  • Ability to interact comfortably and professionally with patients and visitors
  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation protocols
  • Ability to work part time with rotating shifts
  • Capable of performing physical cleaning tasks

Job Duties

  • Interact with patients, families, and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor
  • Clean patient rooms daily, including sanitizing all surfaces and cleaning restrooms
  • Clean ancillary areas such as nurses stations, med rooms, pantries, utility rooms, storage rooms, waiting rooms, locker rooms, break rooms, and offices
  • Clean specialty areas including OR Suites, Pre-Op and Post Op areas, Emergency Department, Intensive and Critical Care Units, Labor Delivery, Pediatric, Mental Health, Oncology, Radiology, Labs, Therapy areas, Pharmacy, Geriatrics, and Kitchen areas
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks including dust mopping, damp mopping, vacuuming, high and low dusting, stocking supplies, removing trash and soiled linen, and delivering clean linen
  • Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and follow safety guidelines
  • Participate in safety initiatives and complete safety related competencies
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed
