Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Availability to work part time from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday to Friday with every other weekend
  • Ability to interact warmly and professionally with patients, families, and visitors
  • Capability to perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks as assigned
  • Willingness to comply with health and safety regulations including vaccine requirements
  • Basic training in use of cleaning chemicals or willingness to undergo training
  • Ability to complete safety competencies and participate in risk mitigation efforts

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to interact comfortably and warmly with patients, families, and visitors
  • Experience in healthcare or hospital cleaning environments preferred
  • Knowledge of cleaning supplies and chemical usage
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures
  • Good physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks
  • Strong attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Interact with patients, families, and visitors with a warm smile and friendly demeanor
  • Clean patient rooms daily including sanitizing surfaces, spot washing walls and windows, and removing trash and linen
  • Clean ancillary areas such as nurses stations, med rooms, pantries, utility rooms, storage rooms, waiting rooms, locker rooms, break rooms, and offices
  • Perform cleaning duties in specialty areas including OR suites, emergency department, intensive care units, pediatric units, mental health units, oncology, radiology, therapy departments, pharmacy, geriatrics, and kitchen areas
  • Use appropriate chemicals and cleaning guidelines, ensuring sanitation standards are met
  • Participate in safety initiatives and complete safety-related competencies on time
  • Perform other duties as assigned
