Job Requirements
- Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds
- Exposure to chemicals requiring use of personal protective equipment
- Willingness to perform physical tasks in well ventilated and lighted areas
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Minimum of 6 months housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Job Duties
- Follow and complete all assigned cleaning and service instructions for assigned areas
- Clean windows and window treatments
- Mop bathroom floors using safety signage
- Vacuum carpets
- Dust and polish resident furniture
- Clean vents and light fixtures
- Perform high dusting
- Clean kitchen appliances and trash baskets daily
- Clean common dining tables and chairs
- Replenish hand soap, sanitizer, and paper supplies
- Keep housekeeping carts locked and remove from patient rooms during mealtimes
- Deep clean household kitchens quarterly
- Deep clean patient rooms bimonthly
- Check cleaning supplies and notify supervisor of needs
- Maintain knowledge of department policies and cleaning standards
- Keep equipment clean and orderly
- Report broken equipment
- Respond to emergencies and spills
- Assist other associates as directed
- Maintain confidentiality of resident and patient information
- Wear uniform and identification badge appropriately
- Participate in department training
- Perform other related duties as needed
