Job Requirements

  • Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Exposure to chemicals requiring use of personal protective equipment
  • Willingness to perform physical tasks in well ventilated and lighted areas

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Duties

  • Follow and complete all assigned cleaning and service instructions for assigned areas
  • Clean windows and window treatments
  • Mop bathroom floors using safety signage
  • Vacuum carpets
  • Dust and polish resident furniture
  • Clean vents and light fixtures
  • Perform high dusting
  • Clean kitchen appliances and trash baskets daily
  • Clean common dining tables and chairs
  • Replenish hand soap, sanitizer, and paper supplies
  • Keep housekeeping carts locked and remove from patient rooms during mealtimes
  • Deep clean household kitchens quarterly
  • Deep clean patient rooms bimonthly
  • Check cleaning supplies and notify supervisor of needs
  • Maintain knowledge of department policies and cleaning standards
  • Keep equipment clean and orderly
  • Report broken equipment
  • Respond to emergencies and spills
  • Assist other associates as directed
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident and patient information
  • Wear uniform and identification badge appropriately
  • Participate in department training
  • Perform other related duties as needed
