Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
- no previous experience required
- must be able to wear protective equipment required by environment or government regulations
- physical ability to perform tasks including reaching, standing for long periods, squatting, bending, lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs or more up to 80% of the time
- ability to operate light floor cleaning equipment
- ability to climb ladders
- ability to clean technical and high-acuity areas including IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, ED
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
- ability to wear protective equipment such as gowns, gloves, goggles, and proper footwear
- ability to handle physical demands including reaching, standing for long periods, bending, squatting, and lifting supplies up to 35 lbs
- capability to operate light floor cleaning equipment
- ability to climb ladders
- knowledge of infection control and disinfection protocols is advantageous
- willingness to work part-time rotating shifts
Job Duties
- Provide cleaning and sanitizing services to patient rooms, offices, clinics, clinical and procedural areas, and public spaces
- support patient safety through consistent and high-quality cleaning
- apply disinfection protocols according to infection control standards and hospital policies
- perform hazardous and biohazardous waste removal in compliance with safety regulations
- communicate and collaborate with clinical teams to align cleaning efforts with patient care flow
- operate light floor cleaning equipment
- clean technical and high-acuity areas such as IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, and ED
- wear required protective equipment including gowns, gloves, goggles, and rubber-soled closed-toe footwear
