Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalency preferred
- Prior housekeeping experience and/or training preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and occasional overtime
- Knowledge of OSHA and safety guidelines
- Good communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
- Reliable and detail-oriented
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties
Job Qualifications
- Prior housekeeping and/or home cleaning experience
- Willingness and ability to be cross-trained in all housekeeping areas
- Accurate and conscientious in carrying out job responsibilities
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions
- Works within established policies and procedures
- Collaborative team player committed to meeting organizational mission
- Flexible availability including holidays and occasional overtime
Job Duties
- Maintains overall cleanliness of campus buildings including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal
- Sanitizes common areas, public and private bathrooms, and resident living spaces effectively
- Maintains confidentiality of resident information
- Provides excellent customer service to residents, staff members, and family members
- Communicates effectively with staff, residents, and family to ensure needs are met
- Organizes materials and manages time to complete tasks on schedule
- Uses equipment, chemicals, and supplies according to OSHA, state, and facility guidelines
- Adheres to company dress code and wears name badge at all times
- Follows policies in the Oakwood Village employee handbook
- Completes departmental and general in-service training by set deadlines
- Maintains quality assurance and infection control standards
- Reports work orders to appropriate departments to ensure safety
