Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
  • No previous experience required
  • Must be able to wear protective equipment and clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear
  • Physical requirements include reaching, standing for long periods, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs or more up to 80 percent of the time
  • Requires the ability to operate light floor equipment for cleaning floors in patient care areas
  • Requires the ability to climb ladders
  • Requires the ability to clean areas that require technical cleaning including IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, ED

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability to wear protective equipment and clothing as required by environment or regulations
  • Physical ability to reach, stand for long periods, squat, bend, carry and lift supplies weighing 35 lbs or more
  • Ability to operate light floor cleaning equipment
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Capability to clean technical and specialized clinical areas

Job Duties

  • Provide cleaning and sanitizing services to patient rooms, offices, clinics, clinical and procedural areas, and public spaces
  • Support patient safety through consistent and high-quality cleaning services
  • Apply disinfection protocols and utilize approved cleaning tools in accordance with infection control standards and hospital policy
  • Conduct hazardous and biohazardous waste removal in compliance with safety regulations and infection prevention protocols
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with clinical teams to support patient safety and care flow
  • Operate light floor cleaning equipment in patient care areas
  • Clean areas requiring technical cleaning such as IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, and ED
