Job Requirements

  • high school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
  • no previous experience required
  • must be able to wear protective equipment and clothing required by environment or government regulations
  • physical requirements including reaching, standing for long periods, squatting, bending, carrying and lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs or more up to 80% of the time
  • ability to operate light floor cleaning equipment
  • ability to climb ladders
  • ability to clean technical and specialized clinical areas

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
  • no previous experience required
  • ability to wear protective equipment and clothing such as gowns, gloves, goggles, and rubber-soled closed-toe footwear
  • physical ability to perform duties including reaching, standing for long periods, squatting, bending, carrying and lifting supplies and equipment weighing up to 35 lbs
  • ability to operate cleaning machinery
  • ability to climb ladders
  • willingness to learn and follow infection control and hospital safety protocols

Job Duties

  • clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, clinics, clinical and procedural areas, and public spaces
  • apply disinfection protocols and utilize approved cleaning tools
  • conduct hazardous and biohazardous waste removal in compliance with safety regulations
  • communicate and collaborate with clinical teams to support patient safety and care flow
  • operate light floor cleaning equipment
  • climb ladders to access high or difficult-to-reach areas
  • perform technical cleaning in specialized areas such as IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby units, NICU, OR, and ED
