Job Requirements

  • high school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
  • ability to wear protective equipment and clothing required by environment or regulations
  • physical capability including reaching, standing for long periods, squatting, bending, carrying and lifting supplies weighing 35 lbs or more
  • ability to operate cleaning floor equipment
  • ability to climb ladders
  • ability to clean technical clinical areas

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
  • no previous experience required
  • ability to wear protective equipment/clothing such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear
  • physical ability to reach, stand for long periods, squat, bend, carry and/or lift supplies and equipment weighing up to 35 lbs
  • ability to operate light floor cleaning equipment
  • ability to climb ladders
  • ability to clean technically challenging areas including IR/Cardiac Cath/Mother-Baby/NICU/OR/ED

Job Duties

  • provides cleaning and sanitizing services to support a safe, clean and welcoming environment
  • cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, offices, clinics, clinical and procedural areas, and public spaces
  • supports patient safety through consistent and high-quality service
  • demonstrates ability to support the cleaning and disinfection of high-acuity clinical and procedural areas
  • applies disinfection protocols and utilizes approved cleaning tools in accordance with infection control standards and hospital policy
  • conducts hazardous and biohazardous waste removal in compliance with safety regulations and infection prevention protocols
  • proactively communicates and collaborates with clinical teams to ensure cleaning processes support patient safety and care flow
