Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or related experience preferred
  • Experience in the hospitality field, healthcare preferred
  • Ability to follow oral instructions and understand simple written instructions
  • Ability to follow work schedule which may vary with assignments
  • Good command of the English language
  • Ability to safely perform basic cleaning functions
  • Ability to handle biohazard waste properly
  • Ability to interact positively with others
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask efficiently

Job Duties

  • Perform a variety of housekeeping duties to maintain hospital facilities in a neat and sanitary manner
  • Clean and move furniture and equipment according to procedures
  • Use proper cleaning supplies and follow established safety protocols
  • Handle biohazard waste and linen bags safely and efficiently
  • Respond to emergency situations involving patient or building safety according to hospital policies
  • Prioritize and complete assigned tasks efficiently
  • Interact positively and constructively with staff and patients
