Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to work a rotating schedule including every weekend
- Able to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to follow hospital infection control protocols and safety guidelines
- Ability to use cleaning tools and chemicals safely
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Experience in cleaning or housekeeping in a healthcare setting preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper usage
- Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols and safety guidelines
- Friendly and approachable demeanor
Job Duties
- Interact comfortably with patients, families, and visitors presenting a warm smile and friendly demeanor
- Perform daily and routine maintenance of hospital flooring including cleaning and maintaining carpets, tile, and other hard surfaces
- Strip, scrub, refinish, and buff hard floor surfaces such as tile and linoleum including associated detail work
- Shampoo and extract carpets and upholstery, vacuum, sweep, dust, and damp mop
- Perform mat care and replacement where required
- Conduct detailed cleaning of walls, doors, frames, and kick plates
- Complete terminal cleaning of operating rooms and other surgical areas
- Maintain daily equipment upkeep
- Remove trash and soiled linen and deliver clean linen where required
- Stock supplies and use appropriate chemicals and guidelines for cleaning tasks
