Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts including every other weekend
- Ability to use cleaning chemicals safely
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job
- Good communication skills
- Compliance with vaccine requirements if applicable
- Commitment to a drug-free workplace
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Experience in housekeeping or environmental services preferred
- Ability to interact warmly and effectively with patients and visitors
- Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance practices
- Ability to follow safety procedures
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual cleaning tasks
- Strong attention to detail
Job Duties
- Interact comfortably with patients, families, and visitors presenting a warm smile and friendly demeanor
- Maintain daily and routine cleaning of hospital flooring including carpets, tile, and hard surfaces
- Perform stripping, scrubbing, refinishing, and buffing of hard floor surfaces
- Shampoo and extract carpets and upholstery
- Vacuum, sweep, dust, and damp mop designated areas
- Conduct detailed cleaning of walls, doors, frames, and kick plates
- Perform terminal cleaning of operating rooms and surgical areas
- Maintain and clean equipment daily
- Remove trash and soiled linen and deliver clean linen as required
- Stock supplies appropriately
- Use appropriate chemicals and follow guidelines for cleaning tasks
