Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work part-time on rotating shifts including every other weekend
- Experience with floor care and cleaning equipment preferred
- Must be able to interact comfortably with patients, families, and hospital staff
- Ability to use cleaning chemicals safely following training
- Compliance with health and vaccination requirements
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to housekeeping
- Dependability and strong work ethic
Job Qualifications

- Experience in cleaning and maintenance preferred
- Ability to interact positively with patients and visitors
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Ability to follow safety protocols and hospital procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Good physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks
Job Duties
- Interact with patients, families, and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Perform daily and routine maintenance of hospital flooring
- Strip, scrub, refinish, and buff hard floor surfaces including tile and linoleum
- Shampoo and extract carpets and upholstery, vacuum, sweep, dust, and damp mop
- Manage mat care and replacement where required
- Perform detailed cleaning of walls, doors, frames, and kick plates
- Conduct terminal cleaning of operating rooms and other surgical areas
- Maintain equipment on a daily basis
- Remove trash and soiled linen and deliver clean linen as needed
- Stock cleaning supplies
- Use appropriate chemicals and follow guidelines for cleaning tasks
