Job Requirements
- High school graduate or GED or currently enrolled program if under 18
- No prior experience necessary
- Ability to operate a computer
- Physical capability to stand, walk, handle objects, reach outward and above shoulder level, climb, squat, kneel, bend, lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, push and pull up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Good vision including depth perception
- Sense of smell
- Ability to work indoors with exposure to fumes and airborne particles
- Willingness to follow safety policies and procedures
- Alertness when working with machinery and cleaning agents
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or general education degree (GED) or currently enrolled in an educational program if under 18
- Basic computer skills to operate inventory and communication systems
- Ability to adhere to safety and cleaning protocols
- Capability to handle physical demands including lifting, pushing, and standing for extended periods
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and resident comfort
Job Duties
- Clean and maintain all common areas including corridors, lounges, reception areas, restrooms, storage and supply areas, floors, offices, and chapel
- Clean and maintain resident rooms and units as assigned and/or as vacated to meet health standards
- Empty wastebaskets and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas
- Dust and polish furniture and fixtures
- Wash windows, blinds, walls, ceilings, woodwork, and other surfaces as necessary
- Move and arrange furniture
- Replenish bathroom items and disinfect using approved cleaning solutions
- Wash and disinfect bathroom and kitchen fixtures and appliances
- Sweep and mop floors
- Clean rugs and carpets using vacuum cleaners and shampooers
- Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy
- Disinfect equipment and supplies using germicides
- Maintain adequate levels and quantities of supplies by reporting inventory to manager or lead for replenishment
- Collect, sort, wash, iron, and fold dining room and resident laundry
- Follow and adhere to established policies and procedures including safety, Presbyterian Villages guidelines, and federal, state and local regulations
- Perform all other duties as assigned
