Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to stand and walk long distances up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, reach, and stretch repeatedly
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds independently
- Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds over tiled and carpeted surfaces
- Ability to operate vacuum and work safely around furniture and breakable objects
- Willingness to have constant contact with residents
- Ability to follow infection control procedures
- Must pass criminal background check
- Must pass drug screening
- Must provide references
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required

- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively

- Ability to lift 25 pounds
Job Duties
- Clean and disinfect resident rooms, baths, public restrooms, lounges, dining rooms, nurses’ stations, utility rooms, houses and cottages, and other areas as assigned using established procedures and schedules
- Remove trash from community and deposit in dumpsters
- Accomplish all work in the order of priority set by supervisor
- Clean all equipment used and return to proper storage area
- Report all needed repairs to supervisor immediately
- Maintain housekeeping closets and carts in a clean, orderly manner
- Follow approved infection control procedures
- Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned
- Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
- Maintain resident confidentiality at all times
