Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • experience in housekeeping or related field preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours
  • physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and standing
  • good communication skills
  • ability to follow safety procedures and handle cleaning chemicals
  • punctuality and reliability

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred or GED accepted
  • ability to handle multiple priorities
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • demonstrates good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • physically able to bend and reach
  • physically able to push, pull, and lift up to 40-50 pounds if necessary
  • physically able to stand for extended periods of time

Job Duties

  • Cleans resident apartments as assigned
  • cleans all common areas including halls, landings, stairs, activity areas, lobbies, elevators, and model units
  • cleans vacant units as assigned
  • ensures cleanliness of public restrooms
  • maintains housekeeping and laundry carts at all times
  • washes and dries community laundry using appropriate products
  • follows posted work schedule and arrives on time with appropriate work attire
  • follows all emergency procedures including proper chemical handling
  • understands proper handling of biohazardous waste
  • maintains clean laundry room and proper chemical storage
  • reports on-the-job injuries to supervisors
  • communicates effectively with housekeeping supervisor and plant operations director
  • advises supervisors when supplies need reordering
