Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • relevant housekeeping experience preferred
  • ability to work full-time
  • physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting and standing
  • good communication skills
  • punctuality and reliability
  • ability to follow safety and emergency procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred or GED accepted
  • ability to handle multiple priorities
  • organizational and time management skills
  • demonstrates good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • physically able to bend and reach
  • physically able to push, pull, and lift up to 40-50 pounds
  • physically able to stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Cleans resident apartments as assigned
  • cleans all common areas including halls, landings, stairs, activity areas, lobbies, elevators, and model units
  • cleans vacant units as assigned
  • ensures cleanliness of public restrooms
  • maintains housekeeping and laundry carts
  • washes and dries community laundry using appropriate products
  • follows posted work schedule and arrives on time
  • follows emergency procedures including chemical misuse
  • understands proper handling of biohazardous waste
  • maintains a clean laundry room and proper storage of chemicals
  • reports on-the-job injuries to appropriate directors
  • communicates effectively with housekeeping supervisor, plant operations director, and team members
  • advises supervisor or director when supplies need reorder
