Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- relevant housekeeping experience preferred
- ability to work full-time
- physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting and standing
- good communication skills
- punctuality and reliability
- ability to follow safety and emergency procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred or GED accepted
- ability to handle multiple priorities
- organizational and time management skills
- demonstrates good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- physically able to bend and reach
- physically able to push, pull, and lift up to 40-50 pounds
- physically able to stand for extended periods
Job Duties
- Cleans resident apartments as assigned
- cleans all common areas including halls, landings, stairs, activity areas, lobbies, elevators, and model units
- cleans vacant units as assigned
- ensures cleanliness of public restrooms
- maintains housekeeping and laundry carts
- washes and dries community laundry using appropriate products
- follows posted work schedule and arrives on time
- follows emergency procedures including chemical misuse
- understands proper handling of biohazardous waste
- maintains a clean laundry room and proper storage of chemicals
- reports on-the-job injuries to appropriate directors
- communicates effectively with housekeeping supervisor, plant operations director, and team members
- advises supervisor or director when supplies need reorder
