Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior housekeeping or cleaning experience
  • ability to lift and move cleaning equipment
  • physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • trustworthy and honest
  • ability to follow safety procedures and protocols

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • ability to follow detailed instructions

  • basic knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment

Job Duties

  • Change bed linen daily
  • vacuum carpeting
  • dust all furniture including picture frames, bed frames, lamps, TVs, dressers
  • remove fingerprints and smudges from mirrors, shiny surfaces, windows, etc.
  • thoroughly clean the bathroom area including shower stall, sink, floor, toilet
  • ensure standard room set-up compliance
  • report all damage found in a room immediately
  • report all missing items in room immediately
  • report personal guest items found in vacant rooms and turn in all lost and found items to Head Housekeeper or Facilities Manager immediately
  • notify Head Housekeeper or Facilities Manager of all rollaway beds or cribs in rooms for pick-up and storage
  • take responsibility for pass key and ensure it is turned in daily
  • report immediately to Head Housekeeper or Facilities Manager about no luggage, no service needed, sleep outs, extra guests, or anything unusual
  • shut off all lights, TVs and air conditioners when leaving room
  • assist housekeeper in additional cleaning chores assigned
  • maintain and stock housekeeping carts
  • carry trash to dumpsters as required
  • log all maintenance-related issues on housekeeping sheet while inspecting each room
  • deep clean rooms with head housekeeper and maintenance
  • assist head housekeeper with any work-related issues
  • follow all procedures as dictated by hotel franchise
  • adhere to all training requirements dictated by management and hotel franchise
