- previous experience with healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred
- ability to follow strict cleaning protocols
- knowledge of infection control procedures
- good physical stamina and mobility
- strong attention to detail
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- sweep tile floors
- damp mop tile floors
- wet mop tile floors
- spray buff strip or wax floors following procedures
- vacuum carpeted rooms
- empty trash cans and replace liners
- clean bathroom sinks fixtures and toilets
- clean glass surfaces including mirrors and windows
- clean behind and underneath furnishings
- follow infection control standards
- prevent and remove wax dirt buildup
- change soiled privacy curtains and draperies
- remove and re-hang curtains using a ladder
- dust and damp clean surfaces in resident rooms
- move furniture to clean behind and underneath
- turn bed mattresses after cleaning
