Job Requirements
- none on-the-job training is provided
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience with healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred
Job Duties
- sweeps damp mops and wet mops tile floors
- vacuum carpeted rooms as applicable
- empties trash cans cleans exterior cleans interior and replaces with a clean can liner
- cleans bathroom sinks fixtures and toilets following center procedures
- cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors pictures and windows
- cleans behind and underneath furnishings
- follows infection control standards while performing cleaning
- prevents or removes wax or dirt buildup in corners around baseboards and in doorways
- changes soiled privacy curtains and draperies for the outside windows as needed
- removes and rehangs curtains and draperies for the outside windows using a ladder
- dusts or damp cleans surfaces in patient or resident rooms following center procedure
- moves furniture to clean behind or underneath according to center procedures
- turns bed mattresses after cleaning
