The Housekeeper role at PruittHealth is pivotal in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and homelike environment that promotes the health, safety, and comfort of residents, staff, and visitors. This role involves performing a variety of housekeeping duties guided by facility policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements. Housekeepers at PruittHealth are responsible for sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and maintaining floors using proper procedures such as wet floor signage for safety. Job Requirements

- Ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures
- Capability to safely handle cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Physical ability to lift and move furniture and use ladders
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous healthcare housekeeping experience preferred

Job Duties
- Sweep damp mop and wet mop tile floors
- Spray buff strip or wax floors as needed following center procedures
- Vacuum carpeted rooms
- Empty trash cans and replace liners
- Clean bathroom sinks fixtures and toilets
- Clean glass surfaces such as mirrors pictures and windows
- Clean behind and underneath furnishings
- Follow infection control standards while cleaning
- Prevent remove wax dirt buildup in corners and baseboards
- Change and re-hang curtains and draperies using a ladder
- Dust and damp clean surfaces in resident rooms including furniture and bed frames
- Move furniture to clean behind and underneath
- Turn bed mattresses after cleaning
