Job Qualifications

- previous experience with healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred
- ability to follow facility guidelines and infection control standards

Job Duties
- Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors
- spray buffs, strips or waxes floors as needed following procedures
- vacuums carpeted rooms
- empties trash cans, cleans exterior and interior, replaces liners
- cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets
- cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows
- cleans behind and underneath furnishings
- follows infection control standards while performing cleaning
- prevents and removes wax and dirt buildup in corners, baseboards, and doorways
- changes and re-hangs soiled privacy curtains and draperies using ladders
- dusts and damp cleans surfaces in patient and resident rooms according to procedures
- moves furniture to clean behind and underneath
- turns bed mattresses after cleaning
