Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience with healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred
Job Duties
- sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors
- vacuums carpeted rooms as applicable
- empties trash cans, cleans exterior and interior, and replaces with a clean can liner
- cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets following center procedures
- cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows
- cleans behind and underneath furnishings
- follows infection control standards while performing cleaning
- prevents/removes wax/dirt buildup in corners, around baseboards, and in doorways
- changes soiled privacy curtains and draperies for outside windows as needed
- removes and re-hangs curtains and draperies for outside windows using a ladder
- dusts/damp cleans surfaces in patient/resident rooms including furniture, bed frames, and windowsills following center procedure
- moves furniture to clean behind/underneath according to center procedures
- turns bed mattresses after cleaning
