Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience with healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred
Job Duties
- Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors
- Occasionally spray buffs, strips, or waxes floors following center procedures
- Vacuums carpeted rooms
- Empties trash cans, cleans exterior and interior, replaces with clean liners
- Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets following center procedures
- Cleans glass surfaces including mirrors, pictures, and windows
- Cleans behind and underneath furnishings
- Follows infection control standards while performing cleaning
- Removes wax or dirt buildup in corners, baseboards, and doorways
- Changes soiled privacy curtains and draperies for outside windows as needed
- Removes and re-hangs curtains and draperies using a ladder
- Dusts and damp cleans surfaces in patient rooms including furniture, bed frames, and windowsills
- Moves furniture to clean behind and underneath following procedures
- Turns bed mattresses after cleaning
